WHY JESUS ATE WITH THE PEOPLE EVERYONE ELSE AVOIDED

In Mark 2:16, the religious leaders saw Jesus eating with tax collectors and sinners, and they asked His disciples, "Why does He eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?"

That might not sound like a big deal to us, but in that culture, sharing a meal carried real weight.

It was a symbol of deep friendship, real acceptance, and social equality.

And Jesus didn't care about their past mistakes or their social standing. He looked at the heart.

He was a friend of sinners precisely because they knew they were sinners.

In Luke 7:34, Jesus was even called "a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!" And that means He's a friend of sinners, even sinners like us.

But that should challenge us too. We must never turn away outsiders in a manner that poorly reflects our Lord.

So let's treat outsiders like Jesus treats outsiders: with friendship and real acceptance, no matter their past.

WHY THE CHURCH IS A LIFE HACK

We live in a world where we're seemingly more connected than ever, and yet we're lonelier than ever.

We're more anxious, more afraid, and more depressed than ever before.

As a society, we're losing our ability to develop and maintain real, healthy relationships.

But this isn't how life was meant to be. We were created for community, collaboration, relationship, and intimacy.

We were meant to care for one another, serve one another, pray for one another, and live on a mission together.

That's why getting involved in a local church is a life hack.

It's a place made for community, a means of God's grace, and a gift we were never meant to live without.
