American GI Forum National Veterans Outreach Program Inc The American GI Forum National Veterans Outreach Program, Inc. Congress.

Our goal is to establish and maintain a comprehensive community Veteran Service Organization with diversified funding sources that will serve the needs of veterans, their families, and other needy individuals of the community. (NVOP) was founded and developed as a separate corporation in 1972 by the American GI Forum of the U.S., the nation’s largest Hispanic veterans’ organization chartered by th

e U.S. The objective was to create a new entity that would provide “hands on” services to veterans at the community level. The NVOP is a duly chartered non-profit corporation qualified by the Internal Revenue Service as a charitable organization under section 501(c)3 of the IRS code. The NVOP, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, is recognized nationally as a premier community-based service provider specializing in services for veterans with special needs. The NVOP is an organization with diversified service components administered by the prime organization (the NVOP) and six sub-corporations that operate services that include employment and training for veterans, affordable housing for the elderly, homeless veterans services, economic development projects that include the Veterans Enterprises of Texas (VETS) box manufacturing company. As a charitable organization the NVOP and all sub-corporations are non-profit entities overseen by a Board of Directors composed of community volunteers and elected officers of the American GI Forum membership organization. American GI Forum has established a glittering reputation of administrative professionalism and accountability, and a sterling reputation for innovation in developing services meeting the contemporary needs of the veterans of today. In 44 years, the NVOP has never been cited for any disallowed expenses on its annual independent audits, and it has received such accolades as the Regional Award for Cost Effectiveness from the U.S. Department of Labor, selected as a national Best Practice model by the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, and awarded the U.S. Department of HUD Blue Ribbon award for innovation in economic development when it created the Veterans Enterprises of Texas (VETS) box manufacturing company that created jobs for disabled individuals.

Thank You, Knights of Columbus!

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Knights of Columbus volunteers for hosting such a beautiful Memorial Day event for our veterans.

Thank you to Jason and the entire volunteer team for preparing and serving a wonderful meal with such kindness, care, and respect. From the salads, spaghetti, French bread, tea, and water to the sweet bread and cupcakes for dessert, every detail was thoughtfully prepared and truly appreciated.

Most importantly, thank you for showing our veterans the honor and gratitude they deserve. Your time, service, and generosity created a warm and welcoming evening that meant so much to everyone in attendance.

We are grateful for your partnership and your heart for serving those who served our country.

In service to one. In service to all.
Thank you, Knights of Columbus.
