Introducing WEDNESDAY TEEN ART JAM at San Antonio Street Art Initiative.

A weekly creative space for teens where ART 🎨 BREAKING 🤸‍♂️ MUSIC 🎶 COMMUNITY 🤝 come together.

We’re talking paint. Drawing. Street art. Movement. Breaking. Music. Culture. Creative projects. New skills. New friends. And a space where young people can make some noise and make some art.

No art experience required.
No breaking experience required.
No need to be “the best.”

Just show up ready to JAM.

And parents, we've got you. This is a structured, supervised youth program designed to give teens a safe place to create, move, learn, and connect with other young creatives.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jay “Laced” Rivera and Riki Rivera are graffiti muralists known as Laced and Found.  Jay Rivera was born and raised in the South Bronx, New York.  During the 90’s in the Bronx, graffiti was in heavy rotation and an essential part of hip-hop culture in New York City.  Along with tagging, Laced worked on his skills and began painting murals by the age of 16.  Riki Rivera was born and raised in Southern California.  As the other half of Laced and Found, Riki has been creating large scales murals since January of 2018.   In 2018 they launched Laced and Found, which provides murals, custom artwork, clothing and so much more.  Since its launch in January of 2018, Laced and Found has painted over 400 PROJECTS including murals and custom work.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Marco Vargas is a self-taught artist who lives and works in San Antonio Texas. Born in Mexico, during his childhood years he had a lot of artistic support from his family who had a massive impact on the direction of his artwork. These influences helped propel his art towards new and exciting areas of his creative mind. As an adolescent, Marco would always see the local graffiti, which living in the west side of San Antonio, he was intrigued by the art form and experimented with graffiti through out his teenage years. In his late 20’s he pursued art more. As an artist he understands the importance of commitment and leaves his mark by way of brush or spray can.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ashleigh Valentine Garza is a self taught artist & muralist born and raised in San Antonio,Texas. Garza has been exhibiting work in San Antonio since 2018 and shown in several known galleries including Gravelmoth Gallery, Blue Star Art complex, Mercury Project and historical Carver center. In 2020 she began volunteering with the local non profit organization San Anto Cultural Arts and soon after was contracted to work on a series of mini murals among other artists. While contracted through SACA she has been a part of youth programs and community events. Her most recent large scale work includes a 150 ft x 18ft mural on the historical Market Square through San Anto Culture Arts and the City of San Antonio.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Floyd Mendoza III is a 28-year-old self-taught artist from Pasadena, Texas, recognized for his vibrant style and wide-ranging body of work. As an international artist, he has traveled to Mexico and Belize, using his art to connect with diverse communities and cultures. His work spans large-scale murals, detailed portraits, and digital design, all rooted in strong visual storytelling. Driven by curiosity and growth, Floyd continues to push his creative boundaries while bringing passion and originality to every piece he creates.
