"CHARITY (Earth) ...Shall be tilled deeper throughout our city connecting various roots growing life to a higher ground of living, caring, sharing and loving. All yard sale participants MUST be willing to donate at LEAST 10-25% of their proceeds to a charity of their choice WITH a representative of said charity present in exchange for their free booth. "MUSIC (air)...Shall graciously flow through the atmosphere a beautiful intoxicating rhythm promoting and invoking positive emotions." Already set are local singers, bands and live art to accompany. A lot of your financial help will help provide a great national act for all to enjoy with our very own "human light show". "ART (fire)...Shall illuminate the entire scene scorching all senses with delight and awe." Throughout the daytime events there will be live art. Graffiti art battles LIVE ON STAGE with the musical acts all consisting of a charitable theme. The art can be auctioned at the end of the night with proceeds going towards charities. There will be body painting for spectators to view and face painting for the kids. Lots of summer fun! "YARD SALE (water)... Shall flow throughout every crevice of the city as we rid ourselves of that which we have an abundance of. Redirecting it's energy while making it AFFORDABLE, profitable and NURTURING." Local celebrities and a couple businesses grouped into a yard sale will definitely bring out the people who seek out a piece of history from various household names. This event will have plenty to offer such as an actual FUN learning section for the kids, auctions, silent auctions, recognition, businesses socializing with other businesses aiding in more profitable and more importantly CHARITABLE events in the future. We will hit not only ONE demographic but ALL demographics. We want to MAKE ART HAPPEN. LOCATION. We want the Sunken Garden Theater. It's in a prime location for daytime family activities located directly across the street from our San Antonio Zoo and right next door to our lovely Japanese Tea Garden. Thus area is inhabited by locals and tourist every weekend. They won't be able to STOP themselves from joining in. WHO and WHY? At this point if your still asking yourself "Who ARE these people and why should we fund them?"
I'll tell you. We are natives of this land who seek a positive change. We are the idea people. WE are the SHARKS. Determined. We know from EXPERIENCE with past events on a smaller scale that turned out bigger than planned that not only do we as individuals bring a crowd but San Antonio has a HUGE giving heart. NETWORKING
