We are a network of foster homes located throughout south Texas. We are an all volunteer organization that takes animals off the kill lists in texas shelters, vet them and then work diligently to place them. Every effort is made to ensure we place our animals in loving homes appropriate for their personality.

**UPDATE** Not the update that we wanted. 😭 We were so hopeful yesterday evening when she ate some Farmers Dog food and seemed more aware. Thin Mint passed away this morning and no matter how heartbreaking it is for us, she was not alone and she was warm and loved. All of our will and prayers could not get her past the decline she had already suffered. We all wanted the best life possible for her and maybe she is in a better place now.

We received an message to help a Dane that was picked up as a stray outside of Hondo a week ago today. Little did I know exactly what we were in for when we met for the handoff. She was thin in the picture that we were sent, she was barely alive when we got her. She was beyond the scope of care her finders could give. We received her on Tuesday this past week and we headed straight to the vet. We waited to post her because truthfully I didn't think she was going to make it.

The vet ran barium and xrays and no blockage was found. Her bloodwork shows she is severely anemic and she has been on fluids. There is no medical reason why she is in this condition. We are just fight the fight of starvation now.

We received a call this afternoon from the vet to come pick her up for the weekend since no one was going to be at the clinic to keep an eye in her. They stocked us up with meds, fluids and feeding instructions. Getting her to eat anything has definitely been a battle. The will to live is there or she would have passed already. Now we just have to convince her that she needs to eat something, anything so that we can help her win this battle. This is definitely one of the most heartbreaking cases we have had in a while.

We would like to thank KIPRITII Services for the wonderful donation box! We received collars & leashes, crate liners, 2 sizes of dog bed, potty pads, mat breaker brushes , p**p bags and lots of toys which the mal mix puppy definitely approves of! KIPRITII_Service

Yesterday was a phenomenal adoption event!

Every puppy and dog we took to the event was adopted except for two dogs.

We will highlight each on individually as they are phenomenal companions!

Meet Bubbles – a Shepherd/Aussie dream girl!

Bubbles is 6 months old, about 19 pounds, and comes with an amazing combination of breeds. Her dad was a purebred German Shepherd and her mom was a Mini Australian Shepherd, giving her the intelligence, loyalty, and athletic ability these breeds are famous for.

If you love smart dogs who bond deeply with their people, Bubbles is going to steal your heart.

She may be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe she quickly turns affectionate and loves to be near her humans. In her foster home, it took less than a day before she started seeking attention and settling in.

✨ Why her mix is so special:

• Extremely intelligent
• Eager to learn and please
• Naturally people-focused
• Athletic and fun
• Devoted, Velcro-dog potential

Bubbles is very food motivated and has already mastered sit, which is a huge indicator of how trainable she will be. With her genetics, she would likely excel in obedience, tricks, agility, hiking adventures, or any activity that lets her use her brain.

She’s in her teenage phase, so curiosity sometimes gets the best of her — especially if food is involved. But with structure and consistency, she’ll mature into an incredibly well-mannered companion.

She did wonderfully with children at her adoption event and gets along nicely with the other dogs in her foster home.

Bubbles is almost housebroken and just needs her forever family to help her finish the job.

🚨 URGENT: Tiny Shih Tzu Puppies Fighting for Their Lives 🚨

We pulled a mama Shih Tzu mix and her six-week-old puppies from a high-kill shelter in South Texas - believing we were just in time to give them a chance at a safe, happy life.

Then we got devastating news.

The puppies have tested positive for Parvo.

Most of these babies weigh under 2 pounds. At this size, Parvo is especially dangerous and treatment is intensive, urgent, and expensive - but it is also life-saving when started immediately.
