We are honored and grateful to Texas A&M University-San Antonio and Kevin Castro for covering the Community For Life Foundation Scholarship event and helping tell the story of why investing in our students matters. 🎓❤️

A very special congratulations to Jah’Dae Bussey, an exceptional student-athlete with a bright future ahead. We are proud to support her educational journey and excited to see the impact she will make in her community.

At the Community for Life Foundation, we believe that a scholarship is more than financial assistance — it is an investment in a student’s dreams, potential, and future.

Thank you to Texas A&M University-San Antonio for helping us celebrate this important moment and to Kevin Castro for capturing the heart of this scholarship and the young person behind it.

Congratulations, Jah’Dae! We are proud to stand behind you and cheer you on every step of the way! 🌟

FROM SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT TO SCHOLARSHIP SPONSOR. ❤️🎓

At the Community For Life Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Scholarship Day, we witnessed one of the most powerful examples of what a scholarship can become.

Years ago, Julian Mathews made history as the Community For Life Foundation recipient who received the most scholarship dollars in a single year...($6,000)

This year, Julian returned—not simply as a former recipient, but as a Scholarship Sponsor.

In collaboration with his mother, Sherry Mathews, they established a scholarship in honor of his aunt, Marci Mathews Aguirre, to recognize and support the next student who would earn the distinction he once held.

And this year, that student is Gregario Armand, who received the **most scholarship dollars in a single year**. 🎓👏🏽 THEY WERE TIED, BUT IT WAS JULIAN’S SPONSORED SCHOLARSHIP THAT BROKE THE TIE, and made Gregario Armand the winner of the most scholarship monies awarded in one calendar year ($8,000).

Just think about the significance of that moment.

Julian once received an investment in his future.
Now, he is making an investment in someone else’s future.

That is what full circle looks like.

That is what legacy looks like.

That is what paying it forward looks like.

And that is what Community For Life Foundation has been about for 25 years.

Our mission has always been to "Help Today’s Learners Become Tomorrow’s Leaders" —but moments like this remind us that sometimes those tomorrow’s leaders come back and help build the path for those who follow.

Congratulations to Gregario Armand on this incredible accomplishment!

And a heartfelt thank you to Julian Mathews and Sherry Mathews for honoring the memory and legacy of Marci Mathews Aguirre through an investment that will continue to change lives.

25 Years.
$1 Million+ in Scholarships.
450+ Recipients.
Countless Lives Changed.

The scholarship may be awarded to one student, but the impact can last for generations. To many more memories of helping Today's LEARNERS Become Tomorrow's LEADERS.
