Help Make February 1 Blue Star Mothers Day! 🇺🇸

The Blue Star Mothers Day Act, S. 4789, has been introduced in the United States Senate and is currently awaiting action in the Senate Judiciary Committee. This legislation would permanently designate February 1 as Blue Star Mothers Day, honoring the service and sacrifice of military mothers across our nation.

S. 4789 is the legislation that can be passed by Congress and sent to the President to become federal law. That is why it is important for Americans to encourage their United States Senators and the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee to support this bill and help move it forward.

💙 How can you help?

1️⃣ Contact your two United States Senators and ask them to support S. 4789, the Blue Star Mothers Day Act.

2️⃣ Contact Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Senator Chuck Grassley, Republican of Iowa, at 202-224-3744. Encourage him to advance S. 4789 out of committee when the Senate returns to session on September 14.

3️⃣ Ask your Senators to help advance the bill through the Senate so it can continue through the legislative process.

4️⃣ Share this post with your family and friends to spread awareness and encourage others to take action.

Membership Renewal for 2026 2027 is Now Open! 💙

Are you a current Blue Star Mother? It's time to renew your membership for the 2026 2027 fiscal year!

Are you the mother, stepmother, grandmother, foster mother, or legal guardian of a service member serving in the Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserves? We would love to welcome you into the Blue Star Mothers family.

For just $30 per year, your membership helps support our mission of supporting military families, active duty service members, veterans, and one another. Membership runs from September 1 through August 31.

When renewing or joining, you will need to select a chapter by its state and chapter number (example: OH21, TX13, NY14, etc.).

As we close out the month, we continue a tradition that never ends. We wear red to remember everyone deployed.

While many of us gather with family and friends, brave men and women remain far from home, standing watch and protecting the freedoms we cherish every day.

Today, we also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the military families who serve in a different way. Thank you for your unwavering strength, your sacrifices, your resilience, and the love you give so selflessly. Your support is an essential part of our nation's defense.
