Laborers’ Local 1095 is an affiliate of the Laborers’ International Union of North America covering southwest Texas, covering both construction and service members throughout southwest Texas, including the communities of San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi, Killeen, San Angelo, Laredo and Brownsville to name a few. Local 1095, recently merged with Local 753, will serve its' members with the main office in San Antonio and a sub-office in Austin. Mary Davidson will continue to serve as Business Manager for the newly merged Local with Business Agent/Organizers Matt Gonzales, Bobby Olveda and Lyn Hendricks. We are the “New Face of Organized Labor” because we take a professional, business-like approach with our partner contractors to ensure success for both parties. LIUNA Local 1095 administers a variety of programs to create the safest, most skilled construction workforce available through our extensive and on-going skills training classes and promotion of personal health and job site safety. Local 1095 also promotes the growth and success of our partner contractors with new and innovative marketing techniques to owners, developers and key decision-makers. We know that contractors want people they can trust, people who won't let them down, and people who solve problems instead of creating them. Together, the Laborers and our contractors know how to do the job right, safely, on time and on budget. Laborers perform a wide variety of work, including general laborers on pipeline work, new construction, maintenance, service contracts (under the Service Contract Act), public employees, hazardous waste removal, environmental remediation (including asbestos abatement, lead abatement and mold removal), demolition, water proofing, nuclear plants, refineries, industrial and commercial plants, professional employees and much more.
