Last Saturday, we hosted our annual Thanksgiving Block Party. We are so grateful for what God is doing in our community and city. In total, almost 350 people came out to participate, 200 food boxes were packed and distributed, and 4 individuals received salvation! None of this would have been possible without an army of volunteers who served all morning with us. We had support from CBC, Unite SA, Central Electric, A1:8 Church, 316 Church, Leon Valley Baptist Church, Thrive Outreach, Calvary Chapel Solid Rock, Mt Zion Baptist Church, The Fellowship of San Antonio, the SAPD, and many more. Additionally, we want to thank HEB for providing all of the turkeys for the event and being a faithful supporter of this outreach. Thank you again to all who participated and Happy Thanksgiving!

Our summer programs are in full swing, and we are excited to see all that God is doing with our youth! Last week, Rolling Oaks Baptist Church came out and hosted their 5th annual VBS with our students. It was a great blessing to us and our youth. A number of new families got connected with our ministry, and 13 students received salvation. We thank God for his goodness and Rolling Oaks Baptist for their faithfulness to serve!

Last Saturday, we celebrated moms at our May Block Party. Our volunteers helped setup and provide games, balloon art, sausage wraps, snow cones and more! Pastor John Minton from Everyday Christian Church led worship and shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We had several decisions to follow Jesus as Lord. Praise God! We hope to see you next month!

Tuesday night we were blessed with record attendance at our annual "Hope For The Future" dinner and fundraiser. The ballroom was full of volunteers, local business representatives, missionaries, pastors from area churches, along with new friends to our organization. David Guion lead us all in Worship. Rev. Scott Brown, President of TMI Episcopal, gave an inspiring message. If you missed this year's dinner we hope to see you next year!

Students at our after school program got to take a break from their studies on one of our student trips. We took over 20 youth to Main Event to celebrate their hard work. Afterwards, they got to have a pizza party at our study center, Mike's House. We are grateful for everyone who participated to make this trip possible!

Last weekend, we had the chance to take some of our cooking class students downtown for a student trip. They had the opportunity to complete a service project with a great partner and supporter of ours, Larry Rosenberger at Kilwins Chocolates. Afterwards, they got to celebrate with lunch and a free ice cream from Kilwins. We are grateful for getting to share opportunities like these with our youth!

Today was a blessed time as we gathered with neighbors and volunteers from local churches and organizations at 710 Arthur St. to celebrate and give Glory to Jesus Christ at our February Block Party. Many enjoyed Games, Balloon Art, Sausage Wraps, Snow Cones and More! Live Worship was led by Kristen Silva of First Baptist Church of Universal City. The Gospel of Jesus Christ was shared by Pastor Reyes of Adult & Teen Challenge. We had several decisions to follow Jesus Christ as Lord. Praise Him!!! Hope to see you next month! 🍿🍧📖✝️

TRINITY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL TEAMS UP WITH HISBB-SA!

This past week we hosted Trinity Christian School students for evangelism training. The students first put their new training into practice in and around the neighborhood.

Tuesday morning was spent downtown, where the students worshiped and shared the gospel in Alamo Plaza.

On Wednesday, the students visited Harpers Chapel Homeless Hub.

Thursday morning was spent on the West Side cleaning up around the neighborhood follow by helping at Cassiano Homes OST. The students wrapped up their evangelism week by packing and delivering care bags to seniors, and joining with the East Meadows Senior Bible study group on Thursday evening.

The highlight of the week was when people came to Christ when the students shared the gospel.

Supporter Spotlight:
Over the past, almost, twenty years, God has allowed us to accomplish some amazing things in our city. That impact is largely due to many faithful volunteers, donors, and supporters. There are many who make what we do possible. One of them is Texas Capital Bank who has been an incredible support for many years and has consistently come out to serve in the community with us whether at our kids’ program, block parties, or community work projects. We are grateful for all that they do, and our amazing group of supporters who make what we do possible!

We just finished our last outreach of the year at our Christmas Block Party! Over 300 residents and volunteers joined us as we celebrated the good news of Jesus and distributed several hundred Christmas presents to children and families in our community. Pastor Wolmarans preached the gospel and Christian Family Church and the Christian School at Castle Hills came out to serve with us as well. We are grateful to all who participated and all that God has done over the past year! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you!
