If you’ve placed a spirit wear order, be sure to check your student’s backpack each week. PTA will be at the school once a week filling orders, with shirts going home by Friday.

🚗📚 Back to school means back to school traffic!

As our Generals head back tomorrow, please give yourself a little extra time and keep an eye out for students walking, biking, and crossing the street.

❤️ Slow down in school zones
🖤 Stay alert at crosswalks
❤️ Be patient with buses and drop-off lines
🖤 Put the phones down and watch for our kids

The first few days are always a little busier as everyone gets back into the routine. A few extra minutes and a little patience can make a big difference.

Get those backpacks ready, set those alarms and make sure to get a good night’s rest. We are SO excited to welcome everyone back to IKE tomorrow for the first day of school! 🎒⭐️

💤 Fun fact: Kids ages 6–12 should get 9–12 hours of sleep each night, and teens ages 13–18 should aim for 8–10 hours. So yes… bedtime matters tonight! 😉

The 2026–2027 PTA Reflections Program is officially underway!

This year’s theme is:

🌎 “What My Culture Means to Me” 🌎

Every student has a unique story to tell, and Reflections is your opportunity to share it through the arts. Whether you love to draw, paint, dance, write, compose music, make films, or take photographs, we encourage you to let your creativity shine!

Students may enter in one or more of the following categories:
🎨 Visual Arts
📷 Photography
🎬 Film Production
💃 Dance Choreography
🎼 Music Composition
✍️ Literature

📅 Entries are due by Friday, October 24, 2026.

We can’t wait to see the incredible talent and creativity our Generals have to share. Start creating today and let your voice be heard through the arts!
