Let’s talk about the MBC Baddies who aren’t getting enough attention. 💚🩷💙

Today is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, and we need to talk about why Women of Color MUST be part of the conversation.

📍 Black women face higher rates of Stage IV breast cancer at initial diagnosis.

📍 Research has found differences in first-line treatment for Hispanic/Latina women living with certain types of MBC.

📍 Asian women are often grouped together in research, even though their communities and experiences are not all the same.

Different experiences. Different barriers.

Today, we’re making it clear: Our Black, Latina, Asian, Indigenous, and ALL MBC Baddies deserve a seat at every table where decisions about their lives are being made.

Not just today. EVERY DAY.

Honoring Indigenous communities means more than acknowledging history. It means paying attention to what’s happening today. 🤎

Whose voices are being heard? Who has access to quality healthcare? And who is still being left out of the conversation?

These are questions that matter to us at FTBOU, especially during Breast Cancer Action Month.

Today, we honor Indigenous peoples, celebrate their living cultures, and recognize the importance of protecting their voices, communities, and access to care.

🎧Sound On!!

Kimberly said what she said! And we KNOW some of our Baddies can relate.

Being diagnosed stage 0 didn’t mean there was zero fear, zero uncertainty, or zero emotions.

Early detection matters; but so does acknowledging what someone went through.

And while we’re at it, can we PLEASE stop telling people they should just be grateful because their cancer was caught early?!
