At FTBOU, we believe survivorship isn’t a destination. It’s a lived experience that looks different for every person.

National Cancer Survivors Day isn’t about one definition of survivorship. It’s about honoring every person whose life has been touched by cancer and recognizing that every experience matters.

BaddieCon reminded me that survivorship is also about being your own advocate, staying informed, and knowing what questions to ask. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, the Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score® test helped me understand the likelihood of my cancer returning in other parts of my body and if I could benefit from chemotherapy.

For me, that medical clarity helped my doctor and me make a more informed treatment plan during a very overwhelming time.

Our event planner Doyin is amazing!



These past few days have been nothing short of incredible. This was my 3rd event with For The Breast of Us and my 2nd Breast Cancer BaddieCon, and I have to say it was so much more than a conference, it was a movement, and one we were honored to be part of.

Breast Cancer BaddieCon is more than a name. It represents the gathering of strong women reclaiming their stories and standing boldly in community with one another.

Working alongside the leadership team of FTBOU wasn’t just about producing a conference. It was about being part of the legacy being built for women of color through advocacy, education, support, and community. Anywhere women are being empowered, I’m always grateful to be a part of it.

Five days of production. Multiple events. Over 15 breakout sessions and activations across multiple days. Endless room flips and moving pieces. There were moments that required quick solutions right before showtime and pivots when challenges arose... the reality of production.

To my team and every vendor who poured into this production …..you know yourselves … thank you for showing up, adapting, and giving your all.

And to the beautiful, kind hearted ladies at FTBOU, thank you for creating a table where there once wasn’t one and for trusting us to serve your community.

Congratulations on a successful conference and on 7 incredible years of building and nurturing this powerful community

The journals at Breast Cancer BaddieCon this year was filled with beautiful artwork and daily reflection prompts that said things like:

“If I could sit with myself on the day everything changed, what would I say to her now?

“What shifted in me this weekend that I refuse to shrink back from?”

The Baddie Beauty Collective x PMUCon activation is LIVE and already making magic happen. 💕 Our artists are on site helping survivors reclaim a little bit of what cancer tried to take away through the power of permanent makeup artistry, restoration, and confidence.

Stop by, show some love, and don’t miss Dr. Zuri Dale on the main stage Saturday morning as she shares how permanent makeup can help survivors reconnect with their confidence and sense of self after cancer.
