It’s hard to believe, but DEVSA turns 2 in just a couple of weeks.
We entered the space post-pandemic, hearing stories of the “active days” of San Antonio tech—the early energy of , , and .
As a self-taught developer transitioning careers later in life, the reason I created DEVSA was simple: Where are the other active learners? Where are the builders?
We realized early on that the only way San Antonio community groups could win was through collaboration.
Two years later, we’ve solved the “venue issue” and created a platform that bridges the gap for everyone in our network—students, partners, community groups, and our first wave of sponsors in 2026. We’re proving that while San Antonio may not have the infrastructure of Austin or Dallas yet, we have the industries and the platform to solve the city’s biggest pain points: fragmentation and the need for a welcoming place to level up skills and network with the front-line folks exploring the changing tech landscape.
