It occurs to me that our LoveTribe is most active in the government "issues" at hand. Everyone has a role to play. If you can be on the front lines, do it. If you can't be physically out there fighting this fascist regime, use your resources at home. Call, email, snail mail, gather and disseminate info (reliable news sources, postings on social media, etc). Talk to people. Be loud.

Shoes were obsolete.
Even as a baby, she'd kick them off.
As a child, it was a chore to convince her to wear them.
The hot blistering days of August brought filthy soles, calloused from playing on the street. Her bleached red hair, wild from running, flying in every direction as she fidgeted while I removed the latest thing she'd stepped on.
And at night, fresh after a bath, no matter how much I scrubbed, the remnants of the day remained embedded in her feet.
As a young lady, whenever necessary, those feet wound up in untied Chuck's or shoes she'd "borrowed" from my closet. Some of those shoes I never saw again.
Adulthood saw no major changes, as far as feet were concerned. Only the challenges of work and hiking forced her to protect her toes.
Even now, my last memory of her was barefoot dancing in the kitchen.
Forever grounded. Forever free.
P.S. I found those moccasins you swore you didn't have.
