Well another successful San Antonio Youth Literacy Sip and Spell in the books. Hugh thanks to all of our generous sponsors and most especially Jane Macon and the Muriel F Siebert Foundation, HEB, Pre-K 4 SA, SAWS, and Dave Gannon…not to mention our awesome Board of Directors and their guests and most especially our Board Chair, Ashley Schneider (Jefferson Bank) and our Fundraising Chair extraordinaire and Refer-Bee, Malinda Gaul. And we would never have been able to pull this off without a lean, mean staff… thanks Ricky Garcia, our Word Bee and Kirk Fallin and Nataly Dorantes, our Line Bees.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing Reading Buddy volunteers for their dedication and hard work throughout the 2025-26 school year. Because of you, second graders across San Antonio are stronger, more confident readers. Your time and commitment make a real difference in the lives of these kids and we couldn't do this without you. We're already looking ahead to 2026-27 and would love to have you back. If you're interested in joining us again, please reach out! Applications are always open to new volunteers, so spread the word and help us keep the momentum going!

Their generous support enables us to continue breaking down literacy barriers and opening doors of opportunity for young learners across San Antonio. Together, we're building the foundation for brighter futures. Thank you for believing in our mission. 💙
