Spare Parts inspires and supports the growing San Antonio creative community and our PreK-12 schools through environmental accountability. Spare Parts believes partnerships/programs centered on creative reuse practice builds smart, lasting and win/win initiatives. This will increase the creative and cultural energy of our city and beyond. As a result, Spare Parts reduces landfill tonnage.

People often ask, how often do we restock the sales floor at the Center for Creative Reuse? The answer is, every day we are open! You can actually go through "fresh to the floor" items as they come from the Annex to the Center. They will be housed in these boxes right by the front door. Come check out what's new.

🪡 Now available for sale, this beautiful Singer model 66 (1949) with cabinet, stool, and accessories. Swing by our Annex to take a closer look. It's fully functional and can sew 6 stitches per inch up to 30 stitches per inch. Minor cosmetic laminate damage on back of cabinet.

We are here from 10am-6pm today and on Saturday. Sundays we are here from 10am-2pm. 13473 Wetmore Rd, San Antonio, TX 78247.

For just $1 you could help a teacher in need and put $2+ worth of supplies in their classroom. For the month of August you can fill any container with materials from our Salvage/RAW section and pay any amount as a monetary donation. Funds will directly impact teachers and help them supply their classrooms via the Teacher 50% discount. Our Salvage materials need a new home because we are overflowing with them! Find a new use, find places that can use these materials, and keep them out of the landfill! Thank you 🙏🙏

Uh oh! 😳 We arrived at the Center this morning to a surprise. A dumped donation containing clothing, which is not even an item we accept. We want to remind our audience that we have a system to donate that works best for our org (appointment scheduling via our website). Also, donations should never be left at our door / outside when we are not here. This could expose perfectly good items and materials to the elements and critters. This could also violate the terms of our lease and we love our retail space and would really like to stay here. 🙏 Thanks.

☕ We were recently nominated by the Starbucks team at the Huebner & Vance Jackson location for the Starbucks Neighborhood Grants program and were awarded a $1,000 grant! We are among 2,700+ grantees out of 43,000 nominations. Woohoo! A huge thank you to the Starbucks Foundation for giving back to local communities. These funds will help us to divert over 400 pounds of creative materials from the waste stream*. 🫶♻️☕



*On average, it costs us $2.40 in operational expenses per pound of creative material diverted.
