For 30 years, Basura Bash has been a San Antonio tradition powered entirely by the people who love this city. What started as a small grassroots cleanup has grown into one of the largest single-day waterway cleanups in Texas β€” thanks to thousands of volunteers who show up year after year with gloves, grit, and heart.

Across three decades, 54,782 volunteers have removed nearly 2 million pounds of trash from our creeks and rivers. That’s millions of pounds of debris kept out of wildlife habitat, out of flood pathways, and out of the waterways that flow through our neighborhoods and parks.

Every tire. Every bag. Every shopping cart. Every piece of basura pulled from the water β€” it’s all been done by the hands of this community.

San Antonio, you built this impact.
You built this legacy.
And together, we’re just getting started.

πŸ’™ Save the Date: Basura Bash returns March 7, 2026.
