Hello Everyone!

As January comes to a close, we are looking forward to our next major event in February!
Veterans Onward and the San Antonio River Authority are teaming up for the Basura River clean-up event.

Due to the recent heavy rains, an increased volume of refuse and trash has made its way into the elevated water levels of the San Antonio River. Our involvement is crucial to maintaining the river's cleanliness and environmental integrity.

By volunteering your time, you'll be contributing to a cleaner and healthier river environment.

There is a link for registration posted in the comments of this post! Please register by February 15th.

Happy New Year! I hope this message finds you well and that you had a fantastic holiday break with your loved ones.

As we enter 2024, I'm excited to announce our next scheduled meetup at Melanie's Restaurant, just outside LaVernia on Highway 87. It's always a great time to get together, and I look forward to catching up with everyone.

Feel free to bring another veteran or military service member along – the more, the merrier!

We hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday and getting some much-needed time off.

We have opened a closed Facebook group for our Veterans Onward - San Antonio community to have a place to chime in on events as well as network with one another for support!

This group is "private" to be able to avoid the numerous scams that are often posted along other Facebook groups so that the focus can be kept on our members.

Our inaugural Veterans Onward volunteer event in October with the San Antonio River Foundation River Warriors. We are so very thankful for the incredible support we received from the River Authority Minna Paul and her amazing staff.

Thank you, Hugo Caballero and Tammy Windsor and so many more for the administrative support that was provided.
