Track Lane Distances 🏃 📌

A lap in lane 8 is 53 meters longer than a lap in lane 1.

That's why races up to 400m use staggered starts, and why the outside lanes line up so far ahead. The numbers here come straight from the World Athletics Facilities Manual.

Worth knowing if you do your intervals on a track.
