Join us in honoring heroes. Since 1973, The 100 Club has been dedicated to the support of families of Law Enforcement, Firefighters & EMT in San Antonio and Bexar County who have fallen in the line of duty. The 100 Club got its name from the idea that each Member will donate $100 or more that is then invested in annuity funds to be used for the Families of Law Enforcement or Firefighter's when tra

gedy strikes. The 100 Club quickly delivers a check to the family to help meet their immediate financial needs. When there are dependent children, The 100 Club establishes a trust fund for each child. The trusts are increased annually with funds accumulated from Member dues and donations. The proceeds from these trust funds are made available over a five year period after the children attain 18 years of age. Today we have many different membership levels and the support of community leaders. The dedication of our community to The 100 Club of San Antonio has been the cornerstone to our growth. Our total expenses are less than 3%, and our generous volunteers and sponsors donate their time and services to The 100 Club of San Antonio.

The stories they carry are often the ones most of us will never see.

The calls. The moments. The experiences that stay with them long after the shift ends. While first responders spend their careers taking care of others, their own mental wellness deserves that same level of care and support.

Our Wellness Program provides completely free, confidential counseling for first responders and their immediate families through trusted providers who understand the realities of the job. This support is completely separate from their agency and handled directly through the 100 Club, creating a safe space to seek help without fear or hesitation.

Accessing support is simple and private. First responders and their families can connect through the Shield 100 SA app or visit our website to get started.

Because supporting those who serve means making sure they have the resources to keep showing up for themselves, their families, and our community.

For The 100 Club of San Antonio, this day also holds a deeper meaning. We are reminded of the fallen officers whose legacy continues through their families, their children, and the community that stands beside them.

Being able to support those families and help provide scholarships for their children is at the heart of our mission. It is one of the most meaningful ways we can honor their sacrifice and ensure their legacy lives on through opportunity, education, and continued support.

We are grateful to be part of a community that never forgets, and that continues to show up for the families of those who gave everything in service.

Texas Mourns a Hero

Yesterday, June 17, 2026, the Lone Star State lost one of its finest. We are deeply saddened to share the tragic passing of Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Sergio Romero, who was killed in the line of duty during a traffic stop crash.

Trooper Romero dedicated his life to protecting and serving our communities. His sacrifice marks a somber milestone as the 244th Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) officer to die in the line of duty—a stark reminder of the profound dangers our law enforcement officers face every single day to keep us safe.

Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with Trooper Romero’s family, his friends, and his entire Texas Department of Public Safety family during this devastating time. Texas will never forget your service, Trooper Romero. Rest in peace.
