Last week at Lake Lotawana, with great happiness and thanks to our partner, Dollar Tree, we welcomed home the Robbins family! 💚🏡

Meet Clare Robbins, a Navy veteran who, while planning to pursue higher education, felt the dream of buying a home for her family became increasingly out of reach amid rising housing costs.

Through the Transitional Homes for Veterans program, Clare will be able to focus on her education, build long-term financial stability, and work toward homeownership while providing a secure foundation for her daughters.

The Lake Lotawana home was purchased through support from Dollar Tree, and we thank them for supporting our military and veteran families and helping them plant roots for their future and the generations that follow. ✨

🌟 Don't forget that nominations are now OPEN for Operation Homefront’s 2027 Military Child of the Year® Award!

Military children navigate new schools, new communities, deployments, and countless changes alongside their families and through it all, they continue to lead, serve, achieve and make a difference. Now in its 19th year, this award celebrates outstanding military-connected teens ages 13–18 who demonstrate resilience, leadership, academic excellence, volunteerism, athletic achievement, involvement in the arts and more.

You can nominate a military child who inspires you whether you’re a parent, family member, teacher, coach, counselor, friend or neighbor now through December 1, 2026. Help us shine a light on the incredible young people who serve alongside their families.

You're a soldier with a wife and an infant, trying to buy groceries for Thanksgiving. The total is higher than you expected, and you start removing items. A stranger takes notice and, out of the kindness of his heart, pays for your groceries.

You get to talking, and he learns you've just returned from deployment, and you learn he's an executive at Beam Global. From that chance meeting, Holiday Meals for Military® was born. A pilot program was launched to distribute 500 holiday meal kits free to military families. 🥔🥦🍗

Since the program's inception in 2010, Operation Homefront has fed over 900,000 individuals. Our commitment to military and veteran families takes many forms. Whether it's providing meal kits, gift cards, or more, the well-being of our families is at the forefront.

We look forward to continuing to be a resource, a hand up, and a form of support to our deserving service members and their families. 💙🤝

For a veteran family working toward long-term stability, home is more than four walls, it’s a foundation for what comes next.

A new place to call home is waiting for a deserving veteran family.

Through Operation Homefront’s Transitional Homes for Veterans® program, a beautiful 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home in the San Antonio area is now available to help a veteran family build toward a stronger financial future.

With more than 2,000 square feet of thoughtfully designed living space, this two-story home offers room for the whole family to grow. From a main-floor bedroom with a full bathroom to a spacious owner’s suite, second-floor laundry room and bonus room perfect for family movie nights, there’s a place for everyone to feel at home. 🏠

Located in a welcoming community with a playscape and walking trails, the home is also close to Government Canyon State Natural Area, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, The Shops at La Cantera and UT San Antonio.

Earlier this year, we partnered with Park West Gallery to bring art and support to our families. 🎨

Through Park West Gallery's support, artwork created by artist Tim Yanke was made available to collectors aboard several cruise ships, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Operation Homefront. Together, they helped raise $100,000 to support our military and veteran families. 💙

We thank Park West Gallery and Tim Yanke for their efforts in supporting our families and making incredible pieces. We are grateful to every collector who has purchased an art piece. Not only are you displaying beautiful artwork, but you're making a real difference in the lives of our military and veteran families.

Sometimes, getting the help you need doesn’t just ease a financial burden, it gives you the clarity to see what comes next.

After 20 years of service in the Army, including a deployment to Iraq, veteran Blaine Higginbotham faced a difficult transition to civilian life. Health challenges and periods of unemployment made it difficult to keep up with expenses, and he found himself at risk of losing the home he had worked so hard to build.

Through Wounded Warrior Project, Blaine was connected to Operation Homefront’s Critical Financial Assistance Program®. A grant helped bring his mortgage current, while additional support helped his family put food on the table.

“It lifted some stress and anxiety off of me,” Blaine shared. “It gave me clarity, and it took a lot of pressure off my back.”

For Blaine, that support meant more than financial assistance. It meant having the breathing room to focus on healing, ask for help and take the next step forward.

And behind every moment of relief is someone who chose to give.

“The people who donate and provide the support are angels,” Blaine said. “They do it without knowing who they’re helping.”

We are grateful to have partners like Wounded Warrior Project who help us ensure that military and veteran families don’t have to face their hardest moments alone.

Today at Military Influencer Conference, we had the opportunity to highlight Johnny Vargas' (VivaLaVargas) raw, real-world perspective of what today's transitioning service members are facing: the uncertainty, the opportunities, and the emotional landscape most civilians never see.

He was joined by our Vice President of Housing, Kyler Olejnik. Kyler offered insights into how Operation Homefront assists families transitioning back to civilian life, enabling them to succeed on their own strong, stable, and secure journey.

It was a great chance to share more about how we support and uplift our military and veteran families. We thank Johnny for helping to spread the word about our work to his audience and beyond. And we're grateful for Kyler and her expertise, which will help continue educating those searching for resources. 🫶✨
