We are homebrew club established in 1986 that is devoted to the promotion of the homebrewing hobby and education about homebrewing techniques for b**r, c***r and mead. Our goal is to brew better quality b**rs and enjoy them responsibly. Annual dues are $30 for per person payable in January or at the time of joining. The club usually meets on the third Friday of each month at various locations, but for now meetings are held online.

During the Bexar Brewers' February meeting, Pale Trappist ales took center stage, with Single/Pater’s Bier and Tripel being showcased, corresponding to BJCP 26A and C. The group sampled and discussed a variety of commercial examples. Homebrewers also contributed two Single ales and two Tripel ales to the tasting. A notable activity was the blind tasting of two Orval Trappist ales, one aged for one year and the other for four years, leading to an insightful discussion on the effects of aging.
