🌳 A major step forward for the South Texas Medical Center and our community.

The Antonio Medical Foundation is proud to have supported the development of the new Medical Center Park through both a land donation and financial contribution. This transformative project will create a welcoming green space for patients, families, healthcare professionals, students, researchers, and visitors while strengthening connections throughout the Medical Center.

For more than 80 years, the Foundation has invested in initiatives that advance health, healing, research, and innovation. Medical Center Park is another example of our commitment to enhancing quality of life for all who come to the Medical Center seeking care, hope, and healing.

We are grateful to our community partners and elected leaders for helping bring this vision to life.

Several planned parks and trails in San Antonio funded through the 2022 bond program are getting a major funding boost from other sources.

Thank you to Councilwoman Ivalis Meza Gonzalez, San Antonio City Council District 8 for her continued work to enhance the South Texas Medical Center. We are proud to support the City of San Antonio in the creation of the New Medical Center Area Park project in the South Texas Medical Center. Yesterday, the City Council accepted our $100,000 donation to support improvements at the park, an exciting District 8 project that has been years in the making!

Dr. Marco has spent decades caring for patients with complex spinal disorders and tumors, training future surgeons, and leading programs across several major medical centers. After a 2019 cycling accident resulted in C2 quadriplegia, he transformed his recovery journey into a mission of presence, compassion, and scientific advocacy. We look forward to an evening of reflection, learning, and forward-looking conversation.
