Women in Film & Television Texas is proud to announce the launch of our Regional Directors leadership initiative, a new level of member leadership designed to expand connection, participation, programming, visibility, and opportunity across the many creative regional communities of Texas, where women want to join our organization within their regional communities.
Texas is MASSIVE! One of the largest and most creatively dynamic states in the country, yet women in many regions remain underserved without consistent professional platforms, industry convenings, leadership pipelines, and visibility opportunities. This initiative is designed to help close that gap by serving members where they live, work, create, and lead.
As Texas enters a historic era of Media & Entertainment growth fueled by expanded state and regional investment, increased production activity, new technologies, sports entertainment, live events, gaming, digital media, tourism, and local storytelling, WIFT Texas is answering the call by identifying leaders in its network to support growth in secondary markets to help women participate fully in Texas's growth opportunities.
Regional Directors will help activate key Texas markets by bringing WIFT Texas programming and platform opportunities directly into their communities, including member sessions, socials, speaker series, professional development, partner activations, special programming, visibility opportunities, and leadership pathways.
Each Regional Director will serve as a visible ambassador for WIFT Texas while supporting the organization’s mission to advance equity, opportunity, and professional achievement for women working in all areas of Media & Entertainment in the regions where they thrive and lead.
The inaugural Regional Directors rollout begins with the Coastal Bend region, reflecting WIFT Texas’ commitment to serving the creative and economic corridors that connect San Antonio, South Texas, the Gulf Coast, and the broader Texas Media & Entertainment industry.
