Busy busy bees in the garden 🐝

Yesterday we worked on a new bamboo trellis arch that will provide a structure for all manner of vining veggies from peas, beans, cucumbers, and a few surprise flower friends!

🫛Did you know peas and beans improve nitrogen in the soil to improve crop yield and promote vigorous leafy growth?🫛

Compost announcement: We are in need of greens! Bring your compost to the garden next Sunday or even leave them in a pile outside of the bins. Just let us know in the chat.

Not sure what to compost? See the flyer on the last slide.

See you next week!

Can you help us identify this lovely little melon/gourd? One of our community members planted it but could not remember the name. Whoever they are, they are very happy little plants right now!

Come check them out in person today with us at 6 pm!

Grateful to wind down the evening at the garden with neighbors 💚 We planted some fall seedlings, watered, pruned, w**ded, and got a solid green layer down for our compost. A few beds are prepped and ready for more planting. If anyone wants to stop by this week to help plant before next Sunday, send us a DM!
