What an amazing day at the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village's Spring Fest! Village Director Wanda, Assistant Director Maria, Sunnie Panther and all the staff and volunteers, along with Spider-Man, Ariel and Deadpool from Costumers With a Cause (CWC) Central Florida brought lots of smiles and created wonderful memories for the guests and visitors. Our newest friend, Bedtime Bear, also got in on the action! And as always, we hope our Sunbears will provide warmth and comfort to the children and families who stay at the Village in the coming months. We will certainly return next year!

RAGAMUFFIN DID IT!

This past weekend, Ragamuffin and his friends with Agents of Mirth Inc. spent a Saturday morning encouraging and cheering on the runners at the Superhero 5K Race & One Mile Fun Run. The race raised funds for the Friends of Children of Brevard County, Inc. to continue their mission of providing support for children in foster care and victims of child abuse. Not only was he there for the other runners, but Rags decided to put his training to the test and enter the 1-mile Fun Run himself, and he beat his target time of 15 minutes! Not bad for his first time, but he knows he can do even better!

Over Easter weekend, T-Dub "Hulked Up" and teamed up with his friends from Guardians Of Justice to bring smiles, laughs, and fun to the Autism Society of Greater Orlando ASGO and their 19th Annual Family Fun day! Tyler had a blast meeting so many amazing young people and their families, as well as getting his groove on at the dance floor. And thanks to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Florida, he became the first ever K9 motorcycle cop in history!... well, only for a moment. T-Dub actually applied for the force on numerous occasions, but he never passed the written exam. He always kept eating his own homework.

P.S. - Thank goodness the Chick-Fil-A Cow didn't see that bag of beef jerky. Things could have turned ugly very quickly.

I had the pleasure and privilege over the weekend of visiting the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village 2024 Spring Fair! It was so much fun meeting so many friendly people, and giving out lots of smiles and bear hugs. I also brought along 30 of my little Sunbear friends to give to the Dream Children who visit the Village. I truly hope this is the beginning of a wonderful partnership and amazing friendship.

Much love and thanks to Village Director Wanda Curtis and Assistant Director Mariah Martinez for their hard work in putting the Dream Village Spring Fair together, as well as MS TEDDY BEAR for providing our little Sunbear friends.
