QUEST was initiated by a partnership between the City of San Antonio, the State of Texas, COPS (Communities Organized for Public Service), Metro Alliance, and San Antonio Business Leaders. The creators believed that a well trained workforce is essential for economic development and competitivene

ss. QUEST helps San Antonio residents overcome barriers such as minimal education, insufficient job skills, and ineffective support systems. To date QUEST has served 8,200 adults with a high graduation rate of 80%, a 91% job placement and 90% retention rate. Participants make on average $10,000 a year before entering QUEST and after graduation they make average $40,000 the first year.

Talk about an incredible full-circle moment! We are bursting with pride as we share a powerful success story from one of our recent graduates.

For 15 years, Alexis worked hard in the security industry, but deep down, she knew she wanted more. In August 2024, she took a leap of faith and applied to Project QUEST.

Returning to school and entering the academy after more than a decade was terrifying. Balancing family, work, late-night studying, and early mornings is no joke—as any parent knows, it truly takes a village!

But with pure determination, faith, a strong family support system, and the dedicated guidance of her Project QUEST Career Coach, Ms. Patricia, she proved that what once felt impossible is absolutely within reach.

We are incredibly proud to share this beautiful letter from Kevin, one of our amazing participants! Kevin recently achieved his goal of earning an Associate of Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

For Kevin, QUEST was more than just financial assistance—it was a total support system. He credits his coaching, tuition support, and our VIP meetings with Mr. Marin (covering everything from financial literacy to stress management) as foundational to his success.

The best part? Kevin is paying it forward right here in our community by working at Methodist Metropolitan, helping patients regain their mobility and independence. 🏥✨

"I want to contribute more to my patients."💙🧡

That was Mahfuz’s "why" when she started her journey with us in 2021. As a Medical Surgical Tech, she was already doing vital work, but she knew she had more to give.

The road wasn't easy. It took four years of prerequisites, clinicals, and late-night studying. There were times when things felt overwhelming, but Mahfuz is the definition of resilient. Whether it was navigating tuition or handling emergency financial hurdles, she never lost sight of her goal.

The result?
✅ RN Training Completed (Dec 2025)
✅ RN License Obtained (Feb 2026)
✅ New full-time career with benefits!
