Special Thanks to our room Attendant Johnathan Perez on the who made our time on the train MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE and brought us all of our meals to our room since we weren’t able to get up to the dining car. Johnathan was our attendant all the way from San Antonio to . This photo was taken just as we were leaving the train in Chicago!! I also have to give a HUGE COMPLIMENT to the cook on the train, Aaron (I don’t know his last name). When the air conditioner in the diner car went out and they couldn’t fix it until they got to the main yard in Chicago where they could swap the car out for a different diner car, They started by serving the sleeper car passengers food from the cafe for free but when they started running low on cafe food (even though they ordered A LOT MORE at some of the intermediate stops), Aaron went and slaved over an stove and oven to pre-cook enough dinner entrees (since they were out of lunch entrees) so that there was still at least a little cafe food left for the coach passengers (for coach passengers-the cafe is the only food option unless they have brought their own food… that doesn’t require a microwave)
