Protect Texas Workers from Extreme Heat! 🚨

Across Texas, working men and women face extreme summer heat on job sites every single day. Water, shade, and rest breaks aren't luxuries—they are common-sense, life-saving necessities.

Now, anti-worker lawmakers in Congress are attempting to quietly block federal heat protections with H.R. 6213 (the misnamed "Heat Workforce Standards Act"). If passed, this bill would stop OSHA from creating or enforcing any national heat safety standards—now or in the future.

In 2024, after decades of advocacy from Texas tradespeople, OSHA proposed the nation’s first federal heat safety standard. We cannot let Congress roll back those protections and put lives at risk for corporate shortcuts.
