This father's day, we are sharing the story of Brian.

Brian had his first kidney transplant in 2010. His family learned in 2024 that he would need a second transplant. That's when Rachel decided to donate to the person who helped give her life, her father.

"He is back to grilling and golfing and being himself," Rachel said. "He has gotten this energy back and really this spark for life."

On August 16, 1999, Sean Elliott, an NBA All-Star and member of the San Antonio Spurs, received a life-saving kidney transplant at Methodist Healthcare System.

It was just a few months after Elliott led the Spurs to their first NBA championship and made a clutch three-pointer, dubbed the Memorial Day Miracle, in the Western Conference Finals against Portland.
