To celebrate the release of the Mandalorian and Grogu, the Star Wars Society of San Antonio has partnered with the Food Bank and will be taking donations at the Regal Alamo Quarry from 6pm to 10pm on Friday May the 22nd and from 11am to 10pm on Saturday May the 23rd. If you have a costume, you are welcome to help promote the movie as well!

Greetings everyone, and welcome to all of our new members!

We have a few events this upcoming weekend. Force Con will be occurring on the 16th and 17th. We won't officially be there, but it will be a fun event to go to if you're looking to meet other Star Wars fans.

We have our monthly training session this upcoming Sunday, the 17th, at our normal time and location.

We had a great turnout for our May the 4th event, so I'm hoping to see some new faces this weekend for training!

Hello everyone! Here is some information on the King William's Parade happening on April 25th. Our sister group SWSSA (Star Wars Society of San Antonio) is putting it together, so make sure to follow them on socials if you aren't already!

Hello There.

My name is Peter Gonzales, I’m president of the Star Wars Society of San Antonio. Some of you may know as the guy with R2.
I’m personally inviting members of the Lightsaber Academy to join us, your sister group and Mavericks of Mandalore to the King William parade on April 25th.

If you haven’t done it before, the parade is in the morning and starts at Brackenridge high school and winds a mile through the King William neighborhood before winding down back at the high school.
I don’t have a set step off time for the parade, but we do start setting up around 7 am with the parade typically ending for us between 1030-11.

I do recommend arriving early to find parking since this is a big parade. The great thing about the parade is it’s in the morning so the weather is cooler. Plus most of the King William neighborhood has trees along the route which gives us a canopy with lots of shade. The parade is also televised on KSAT.
We will have a truck and trailer again for the parade. Everyone with a Jedi or Sith is welcome. I will post more information about the parade after I meet with the parade committee on April 11th. Feel free to ask questions if you have them.

Event Update!

For those going to the Lighten Up event today, our demo had been moved to 7pm. We're still setting up at around 5:30.

Also, don't worry about wearing your costume today if you have one. It's way too hot and there isn't a lot of coverage. Star Wars t-shirt works 👌
