🌟 Spring NYLT Staff Applications Are Open! 🌟

Have you completed NYLT and want to take your leadership skills to the next level? Now is your chance to join the Spring NYLT staff! This course will be March 7-12, 2027 at McGimsey Scout Park.

Anyone who has successfully completed NYLT is welcome to apply. Don’t miss this opportunity to give back, grow as a leader, and help the next group of Scouts discover their leadership potential.

🚨 Beast Feast Needs Your Help! 🚨

We need 100 participants signed up by August 25 or Beast Feast will have to be canceled.

If your troop is planning to attend, please don’t wait to register! You can purchase slots now and fill in participant names later, so you don’t need to have your final roster ready.

Beast Feast is coming to Bear Creek Scout Camp, September 25–27, with a weekend of Range and Target Activities, camping, and time with Scouts and leaders from across the council.

🏕️ Den Chief Training – Youth (Scouts BSA, Venturers, or Sea Scouts) learn how to assist den leaders and support Cub Scout dens.

🔥 BALOO – Learn the skills and knowledge needed to safely plan and lead a Cub Scout campout.

⛺ IOLS – Learn the outdoor skills and leadership basics needed to help Scouts BSA members advance toward First Class. This course is required to register as a Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster.

Can’t make it this weekend? No problem! Check out Craft of Training next weekend and learn techniques to help you deliver engaging and effective training to others.

🎯 Beast Feast is back at Bear Creek Scout Camp!

Join us September 25–27 for a weekend focused on Range and Target Activities, camping, and fellowship with Scouts and leaders from across the Alamo Area Council.

If you enjoy spending time at the range, this is a weekend you won’t want to miss. Beast Feast is a chance for older youth and adults to experience more of the Range and Target Activities program while enjoying a weekend at Bear Creek.

Adult volunteers are needed! If you’re a qualified Range and Target Activities volunteer, we’d love to have you join the team and help make the weekend a success.
