Our Chairwoman and Executive Director Tony Fuentes previously had the opportunity to watch the powerful PBS documentary AMERICAN SONS, and we are excited that the producers are now offering our San Antonio community the opportunity to experience this important film for free.

Produced by Laura Varela and produced/directed by Andrew James Gonzales, AMERICAN SONS tells the deeply personal story of Cpl. JV Villarreal, a Mexican-American Marine from Texas who was killed in action in Afghanistan. Through never-before-seen combat footage and the experiences of his Marine brothers and family, the film explores service, sacrifice, grief, resilience, and the lasting impact of war.

We encourage our veterans, military families, and community partners to join us for this FREE exclusive San Antonio screening on tonight at Flix Brewhouse.

While there is no cost to attend, donations are encouraged to support the film’s Impact Tour and its work reaching veteran communities and families across the country.

This is a story worth seeing, sharing, and discussing. 🇺🇸

Another incredible afternoon of collaboration! 🇺🇸

Thank you to everyone who joined us for another successful San Antonio Coalition for Veterans and Families (SACVF) Monthly Meeting for Community Partners.

Every month, we’re reminded that when organizations come together, we create stronger pathways of support for our Veterans, military families, and caregivers. From sharing resources to building meaningful partnerships, today’s meeting reinforced that no one organization can do it alone—but together, we can make an extraordinary impact.

A special thank you to our outstanding guest speakers:

⭐ Mike Jaeger with the VA Vet Center for sharing the many services available to Veterans and their families, and for emphasizing the importance of mental health, healing, and community support.

⭐ Albert Uresti, Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector, for providing valuable information about the services available through his office and for his continued commitment to serving the residents of Bexar County.

Thank you to every Veteran organization, nonprofit, community partner, and first-time attendee for taking the time to connect, collaborate, and share the incredible work you are doing throughout our community. Together, we are building a stronger network to ensure our Veterans and their families have access to the resources they deserve.

A special thank you to HealthTexas HealthTexas Medical Group (San Pedro Clinic) for hosting us, Serefina Digital Serafina Digital for helping capture and share the day’s highlights, and JMT Studios for providing ongoing media support to help amplify the mission and impact of SACVF.

Together, we continue to live out our commitment that No One Left Behind is more than a slogan; it’s our promise to those who have served.

We look forward to seeing everyone at next month’s meeting!
