Today, our Executive Director Tony Fuentes conducted the official walkthrough for Vet Fest 2026 as our volunteer team continues preparing for one of San Antonio’s largest community celebrations honoring veterans, active-duty service members, and their families.

Every detail is focused on creating a welcoming space where veterans can connect with valuable resources, enjoy live entertainment, explore the open car show, support local vendors, and spend a day with family and friends.

We are grateful to our sponsors, partners, volunteers, and community leaders who continue to make this event possible. Your support allows us to fulfill our mission of connecting veterans and their families with the services, opportunities, and recognition they deserve.

Happy, Happy Birthday to our Executive Director, Tony "Doc" Fuentes.

Many people know Doc as the person who answers the phone when a Veteran is in crisis, helping families in need, and working tirelessly to make sure no one is left behind. What some may not realize is that his commitment to serving others began decades ago during his service in Vietnam and has continued throughout his life.

Please join us in wishing him a Happy Birthday and thanking him for everything he does for Veterans, Military families, and our community.

SACVF had the honor of meeting with Bexar County Tax Assessor Albert Uresti and sharing what SACVF does to serve Veterans and families in need throughout our community.

We had a great conversation about our faith and how God has led us to a mission of serving others.
