Live Oak Singers of San Antonio, is a LBGTQ+ & friends chorus, serving the community by opening hearts and minds to love and acceptance through the power of music. An LGBTQ+ Family and Friends choral group consisting of men, women, trans, & gender non-conforming members; led by our current Artistic Director Paul Hughes. We were founded in 2014, and will be starting our 10th Season August 2023!

We are incredibly grateful to Fiesta Youth for inviting us to be part of their official Fiesta event this year! It was such a joy to share a preview of our upcoming end-of-season show (May 16th) by singing several selections outside the admission doors—welcoming guests and setting the tone for a truly special evening.

Seeing such a strong and vibrant turnout was inspiring. Events like this remind us just how powerful it is to show up, celebrate, and uplift LGBTQ+ youth in our community.

Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and joy of transgender and nonbinary people everywhere.
March 31 is a day to uplift voices, honor lived experiences, and recognize the impact of trans individuals in every part of our communities.

At the Live Oak Singers, we remain committed to being a space where every person is seen, valued, and safe to show up fully as themselves.

We also recognize that visibility can come with challenges. Today — and every day — we encourage you to check in on your trans friends, chosen family, and loved ones. Your presence and support matter more than you know.
