A little backstory behind the cause:
I'm Raahil Gadhoke, and my journey into fundraising began during my youth, sparked by a profound experience I had while visiting a rural school in India. This school, built through my grandfather's generosity and dedication, bears my great-grandfather's name. My initial visit left a lasting imprint on my heart, igniting a strong desire within me to make a difference.
As a kid, I had the privilege of attending school in the United States. I took for granted the modern facilities, spacious classrooms, and abundant supporting resources. It was a place where learning was encouraged and supported.
However, when I visited this school in India, things were very different. The classrooms were crowded, and students had to share textbooks. Basic things like clean water and bathrooms were hard for these students to get.
This experience opened my eyes to the differences in education around the world. It made me realize the importance of giving back and making a difference for those less fortunate. Even as a kid, I knew I had to help.
So I started raising money to improve the rural school in India. My goal was to give these students the same opportunities I had - a chance to learn and grow in a safe and motivating place. With support from generous donors, we worked together to give these children the chance they deserved.
My fundraising journey isn't just about money; it's about giving hope and empowering the next generation. It's about making sure every child has the chance to get a quality education and reach their potential, no matter their background. This experience from when I was young drives my commitment to make a difference in the world.
