Hope at Heart creates memory-making moments and provides assistance to families battling childhood, adolescent, and young adult cancer, colon cancer, and sickle cell disease. Our Story and Purpose – Hope at Heart Foundation
Our children’s cancer foundation was created with one unwavering purpose: to support families fighting pediatric cancer in every way possible. We saw the gaps that families fac
e after diagnosis: emotional distress, financial instability, lack of mental health support, and long, exhausting days in and out of hospitals without a safety net. Our mission began with a clear focus on children and adolescents battling cancer. We provide the support systems families need to keep going — housing and utility assistance, transportation to treatment, respite spaces for caregivers, and access to mental wellness services. We believe healing isn’t just about medicine; it’s about stability, community, and hope. Over time, we’ve extended our services to young adults and, through our senior program, to older individuals facing similar gaps in care — but our heart and our primary purpose remain rooted in pediatric cancer. Why we exist:We exist because no family should ever have to choose between keeping the lights on and staying by their child’s side in the hospital. Because no sibling should feel forgotten. And because no child should face cancer without a community behind them. We are here to fill the gaps — the ones that aren’t covered by insurance, by policy, or by circumstance — and to bring relief, dignity, and strength to families who deserve all three.
