Meet Sanda Coyle, Business Strategist + Community Champion.

Sanda Coyle is an accomplished media executive, leadership coach, and co-founder of Coyle Whitson Strategy LLC. With over three decades of leadership across major network affiliates including ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX—as well as serving as Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing for iHeartMedia—she specializes in business growth, marketing, and talent development. A dynamic speaker and author, Sanda also dedicates her time to active community ministry, local boards, and mentorship across San Antonio.

Meet Michelangelo Sabatino, Architectural Educator/Historian.

Michelangelo Sabatino PhD (Hon. FRAIC) trained as an architect and historian in Canada, Italy, and the US. He is a publicly engaged architectural historian, curator, and preservationist whose research and writing focuses primarily on modern architecture and design in the Americas and Europe. He is currently the Director of the School of Architecture + Planning of The University of Texas at San Antonio and Roland K. Blumberg Endowed Professor in Architecture.

Meet Seema Kairam, Affordable Housing Advocate.

After 10 years of practicing architecture, Seema Kairam stepped off the traditional career path to discover how to bring quality and dignified buildings to those who have historically been left out. After stints in the non-profit sector and community-led design practice, Seema now works as the senior Real Estate Development Manager for the San Antonio Housing Trust. She strongly believes that everyone deserves a safe, accessible, affordable home and is committed to inclusive design and decision-making processes that center people and creates the foundation for long term equitable outcomes.

Meet Kirt Haeberlein, Picker.

Kirt Haeberlein is the owner of Picker’s Paradise, a San Antonio architectural salvage business dedicated to giving new life to materials from historic and older buildings. What began as a small furniture resale operation grew into a destination for reclaimed doors, windows, flooring, hardware, and architectural elements. Haeberlein is a passionate advocate for deconstruction and reuse, working with demolition companies and property owners to salvage materials that might otherwise be lost and preserving pieces of San Antonio’s architectural history.

Meet the Speakers | PK 49 ✨

Meet Jessica Flynn Saldaña, Client + Homeowner.

A San Antonio resident with a deep appreciation for people, places, and different perspectives, Jessica spent much of her childhood in Germany while her father served in the military—an experience that helped shape her worldview from an early age.

She studied social work and business at the University of Texas at Austin and has built a 13-year career with H-E-B. She also served on the board of the San Antonio Humane Society and calls San Antonio home with her husband, Rey, their two children, and two rescue dogs. 🐾

🏛️ In collaboration with the Texas Society of Architects, PK 49 explores design and the built environment from different perspectives—including the people who ultimately call those spaces home.

Meet Everett Fly, Landscape Architect + Architect.

A San Antonio native, Everett has spent 45 years championing cultural heritage and historic preservation through architecture and landscape architecture. His work has earned national recognition, including the National Humanities Medal and Harvard Graduate School of Design’s Distinguished Alumni Award.
