Restaurant Weeks is coming to a close, and there’s still time to turn your next meal into hope for local children!

Through June 20, participating restaurants, cafés, bars, food trucks, and eateries across San Antonio are serving special menu items featuring fresh produce grown at the San Antonio Food Bank Urban Farm. Every featured dish purchased helps support our Summer Meals for Kids campaign.

Here's how you can help:

As the Spurs battle on the court, the San Antonio Food Bank is facing off against Food Bank For New York City in our Slam Dunk on Hunger campaign. Every donation helps provide meals for neighbors across Southwest Texas and brings us one step closer to winning this friendly competition.

Summer is one of the busiest seasons inside our Food Bank kitchens. When school is out, many children lose access to the meals they count on each day. That's why our team works early mornings planning, preparing, and delivering thousands of meals to more than 100 Summer Meals Sites across our community.

As Executive Vice President of Culinary Operations, Chef Geronimo Lopez sees firsthand what it takes to make this happen and what your support makes possible. Right now, every $1 donated will provide 14 meals, and thanks to a generous match, your impact will go TWICE as far.

With your support, we can ensure every child has the nourishment they need to enjoy a bright summer and return to school ready to succeed!

Eleven years ago, after spotting a San Antonio Food Bank donation barrel inside Methodist Children’s Hospital, young patient Rowan Windham made a simple but powerful request: instead of gifts, he wanted cereal donations so no child would go hungry during the summer.

Today, Rowan’s legacy lives on. ❤️

This year, Methodist Children’s Hospital collected more than 250,000 servings of cereal for children in need this summer. To help complete breakfast, H-E-B, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Lactalis each donated a truckload of milk. 🥣🥛

Thank you, Methodist Children’s Hospital, for continuing Rowan’s vision and helping nourish thousands of children across our community each summer! ☀️

Before the Game 4 Watch Party, Eric S. Cooper and Ana La Manzana stopped by the Frost Bank Center to rehearse their best game faces! As San Antonio rallies behind the Spurs, we're proud to cheer for them on and off the court. Go Spurs Go! 🩵🩷🧡

And while we're cheering on every bucket tonight, we're also keeping an eye on another scoreboard. Our Slam Dunk on Hunger challenge with the Food Bank For New York City is still underway, proving that communities can come together to make a difference.

No matter the scoreboard, we're rooting for our city every day.
