We’re kicking off a partner highlight series to thank those who help us make an impact. To start us off, we’re giving a special thank you to the Harvey Najim Charitable Foundation! The foundation makes a difference in the lives of children by providing funding and guidance for things such as food, education, mental health, and other children’s charitable purposes to non-profit organizations in the greater San Antonio area.

Thank you Najim Charitable Foundation for supporting Girls Inc. of San Antonio! With your help we’ve been able to welcome girls into our new home and are able to offer a rich summer program experience to participants!

During the summer, our teens participate in leadership lunches where girls meet women from all fields to discuss leadership, overcoming obstacles, and how to be good role models. Our first leadership lunch of the summer was Yvonne Addison, Melissa Cabello-Havrda, and Lauren Sharp. This panel of women shared insights on what it looks like to work in male dominated fields and find success. Thank you ladies for sharing your stories with our teens!

Goodbye school, hello summer! Our first week of summer camp brought back familiar faces and introduced us to new friends! Campers were able to display their art skills, learn a yummy recipe, practice CPR, learn how to decorate cupcakes, and so much more! We can’t wait to see what the next 6 weeks have in store for us!
