Fundraising for Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas

Our goal is to specifically broadcast fundraisers and upcoming events. Our volunteers come from San Antonio, Kerrville, and other parts of Central Texas.

We are based in Kerrville, Texas but service all of San Antonio and the surrounding areas. We are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. As such, we must rely heavily on donations and contributions, which are a necessity in order to continue to be able to pay the costs of health care, administrative needs, and other necessary expenses for each of our dachshunds.

Rusty Taylor was humming, "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth..." his foster mom said, "Hey Rust... YOU have those... no one can see 'em 'cause you smile so much."!

If you're interested in humming songs along with Rusty, get your applications in today. Please note that you must reside within the Central Texas area to adopt with us.

Reminder .... DDRTX will be closed for Applications and Home Visits from the 13th of December through the 3rd of January.

Welcome Poppi!

Poppi, the sweetest Basset Hound you’ll ever meet, was found wandering the streets near the border of Mexico for 2 weeks. He was covered in fleas, ticks, and sores while looking for a family to provide him love and comfort.

Poppi is very sweet and playful. He loves to get belly rubs and be near his humans. He gets along well with his foster brothers and doesn’t mind when they bark at him nonstop - he just looks and away and does his own thing. He gets along with all dogs, big and small, and is good around children.

He is a little clumsy with his big body and ears but we think that makes him all the more loveable. He is a chill dog that likes to relax and sleep while still getting bursts of playful energy. Poppi has yet to have an accident in the house and quickly learned how to use the doggy door.

Poppi is not available for adoption just yet. He needs to see our vet first.

We area happy to announce that Minnie Grace has gone from an available pup to a forever pup with her Foster Mom... turned from a Foster to a Foster Fail!
