Today, our gratitude is for two 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 who have given so much of themselves to Ranch Chic.

For the past year our Ranch Chic Fashion Show Chair, Michelle Destefano and Vice Chair, Claire Tondre have shared their time, talents, leadership and hearts in ways that often happen quietly behind the scenes.

Every conversation, every decision and every detail has been guided by a genuine desire to make this year’s Ranch Chic meaningful — for our 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀, our 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 and the friends who come together from San Antonio, Castroville and communities throughout the surrounding area.

What they have given goes far beyond planning an event. They have 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, inspired an incredible committee and helped create something that will make a difference in the fight against cancer.

𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲, thank you for saying yes, for showing up and for giving so generously of yourselves. We are incredibly grateful for you and 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂. 🩵

We’re officially in the final stretch, and behind the scenes, the 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 is starting to come to life!

Friday, our Fashion Stylist 𝗞𝗮𝗶𝗮 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 spent the day at Cavender's
Boot City working, collaborating and pulling together the looks as they prepare to welcome our models for fittings next week. 👢✨

And before a single model steps into the fitting room, there’s a whole lot of coordination happening behind the scenes. Bonnie 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀, our 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺, have been navigating schedules, communicating with our models and helping make sure everyone is ready for their fitting day.

We’re incredibly grateful to our longtime friends at 𝗖𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿’𝘀 and especially to 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀 (Kelly), whose support has kept Cavender’s at the heart of the Ranch Chic runway for more than a decade. Year after year, they open their doors to our models, outfit our runway and help bring the entire Ranch Chic experience to life. 👢🩵✨

Each of these incredible young models has been touched by 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿. They are 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗢𝗥𝗦 and 𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗩𝗢𝗥𝗦, but cancer does not define who they are.

Ranch Chic is surrounded by an incredible volunteer committee of people who give so generously of their time and talents, and today we’re celebrating 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 — generously sharing the businesses they’ve built to help us create this incredible evening.

Cyndi Lepp with Absolute Rentals and Susan Obregon with Timeless Moments by Design are both talented woman-owned business leaders who serve on our Ranch Chic Planning Committee.

Today, we have the privilege of celebrating a woman whose generosity, grace and heart for our mission have become such a special part of Ranch Chic — 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲, a longtime member of our Planning Committee and one of our most gracious supporters.

Sandra has a genuine heart for our mission, and she shows it in so many meaningful ways. She brings wonderful items to our silent auction, brings her Castroville community together to experience Ranch Chic, and shares our story with a wonderful circle of friends and community. She has a special way of 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 — while always finding another thoughtful way to give herself.

And when you see the 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 the 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰 evening, that’s Sandra, too. 🌸 She generously provides them year after year, adding a little more beauty and a very special touch to our evening.

And perhaps the sweetest part — Sandra is the woman our wonderful Event Vice Chair, 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲 (Claire) gets to call 𝗠𝗼𝗺. ❤️

💛✨ 𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗛 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗖 𝗟𝗜𝗟’ 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗟 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗧𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 — 𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗘 ✨💛

In honor of 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, meet one of our littlest — and mightiest — Ranch Chic models.

Penelope was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at just four weeks old. After four months and four rounds of chemotherapy, 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 💛

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴, 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱, 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 — 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲. ✨ We can’t wait for Penelope to have her moment on the Ranch Chic runway and show us all a little Turquoise & Twinkle!
