Pope Leo XIV wrote his first encyclical Magnifica Humanitas. This gives the in-depth reflection on the emerging technologies in today's world and how the human beings in today's world use this technology to make things convenient and efficient. On the other hand, this encyclical also highlights how humanity can either flourish in loving relationships with his neighbor and with God or work towards destruction given the unguided use of technology, desire not guided by God.

Be Blessed on this Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ

Corpus Christi is a reminder of human's ultimate vulnerability. We are loved by God. We did not create love. Love is from Him and to Him alone it belongs. If we turn away from what is loving, we will forget that we belong to God. God is eternal. Love is eternal. We are not Creator. We can be co-creator when we cooperate with the Divine.

Thanks to our brothers and sisters/communities in Houston and Corpus Christi who have already taken the step in writing to their Bishops. Invitation to others to write your Bishops about the Mass for Creation to be voted on the Bishops Plenary Assembly. Please support the call. Pope Leo XIV has celebrated the Mass for Creation in Latin on July 9 2025 in Castel Gandolfo (https://www.vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/en/homilies/2025/documents/20250709-omelia-custodia-creazione.html)
Please write your Arch/Bishops so that he will be able to get your support or know your support on Mass for Creation using our vernacular for US version, thoughts and prayers before they go to USCCB Bishops Conference on July 10 - 12. Unless they voted on it, the only official version is the Latin version and priests only waits for the Bishops' approval on USCCB level.

The USCCB Sacred Heart novena makes use of Pope Francis’ Dilexit Nos and Pope Leo’s Dilexit Te. We are invited to contemplate on Jesus’ love for us to set our own heart on fire to love others. We see the heart of God revealed when Jesus quotes the prophet Hosea to the Pharisees, saying,

“Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice’” (Mt 9:13)

Let us pray the Novena to Sacred Heart of Jesus that we will have mercy on what God is calling us to care for and will take action for ecological justice which brings all into equation for sustainability of the planet.

Happy Laudato Si' Week! May 17-24, 2026 is an official week dedicated to praising God with our words and actions for all of Creation. Here's how you & your family can participate:

🙌 Praise God for Creation each day this week.

❤️ Take a small action each day inspired by the Laudato Si' Goals established by the Catholic Church.

You may also consider enrolling your family in the Catholic Church's official Laudato Si' Action Platform. This means taking a pledge to praise God and care for Creation through your family's actions.

🌎OFFICIAL LAUDATO SI' GOALS
Take action this week... and beyond!

Goal 1: Respond to the Cry of the Earth
Example: Take an action to reduce your energy use, such as switching off faucets, lights, computers, or TVs when not in use.

Goal 2: Respond to the Cry of the Poor
Example: Learn about a local food pantry, and mark your calendar to bring a contribution.

Goal 3: Adopt Simpler Lifestyle
Example: Consider 1 way you can reduce waste, such as using cloth napkins or freezing leftovers immediately so they don't get lost in the back of the fridge.

Goal 4: Ecological Education
Example: Share an interesting fact about God's Creation with someone you know.

Goal 5: Ecological Spirituality
Example: When you pray before eating, think about and thank God for all the people and creatures whose work brought you a meal.

Goal 6: Ecological Economics
Example: Choose to support a local business, or take 5 minutes to research how your favorite retailers treat their workers.

Goal 7: Community Engagement
Example: Learn about a local park or organization that can help you care for God's Creation.
