This hands-on training program will help you build the skills, knowledge, and connections to advance single-family housing development in Texas.

This year, we will observe National Latina Equal Pay Day on October 8, 2026. Since this campaign was launched more than 10 years ago, millions of people have moved to action to sound the alarm and call for change.
 
We are proud to share that our very own, Marla Bilonick, NALCAB President & CEO has been named on Justice for Migrant Women’s Latina Leaders List, which recognizes individuals who embody this year’s campaign theme, “Power.Pay.Progress” and who have been pushing to improve conditions for Latinas and people across communities. We are proud to continue to elevate community members, while also working to achieve justice and equity.

Yesterday, we gathered for a Rural Cafecito in Oregon in partnership with our member and RCB subgrantee, Prosperidad Oregon.
 
The event brought together NALCAB members, non-members, local funders, city offices, and community leaders for meaningful conversations about how we can better serve rural communities across Oregon. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn from one another and strengthen the relationships that make this work possible. 
 
A big thank you to PCUN and Centro Campesino for welcoming us and hosting us at their community center. We’re grateful for the space, the hospitality, and everyone who showed up to share their knowledge and vision for Oregon’s rural communities.

Building on the momentum of our 2026 National Conference last week, we’re excited to announce an expansion of our longstanding partnership with Capital One—our conference presenting sponsor—to increase the flow of affordable capital to communities across the country.

The partnership includes a new $2 million lending facility, $6.4 million in philanthropic support, and pro bono expertise that will strengthen NALCAB’s capacity and expand resources for our network of nonprofit lenders and community development organizations.

Together, we’re helping our more than 200 members do more of what they do best: support Latino-led small businesses, expand affordable housing, and create pathways to economic opportunity.

One of our favorite moments was our fireside chat, where NALCAB President & CEO Marla Bilonick was joined onstage by Julián Castro, CEO of Latino Community Foundation, and his mother, civil rights activist and educator Rosie Castro.

And now, we get to take it home with us.

NALCAB’s 2026 National Conference may have wrapped, but the work doesn’t stop here.

Over the past week, our network has shared ideas, challenged one another, celebrated progress, and reminded us what we can accomplish when we move
forward together.

That’s what Leadership in Action looks like: showing up for one another, bringing what we’ve learned back to our communities, and turning collective power into progress.

Thank you to everyone who made these three days unforgettable. We’ll see you in Puerto Rico, La Isla del Encanto, November 8-11, 2027!
