NALCAB endorses the Building Housing Affordably Act of 2026, introduced by Mike Flood and Maggie Goodlander.

This legislation would provide affordable housing developers and contractors with greater flexibility, helping keep projects financially viable and moving forward at a time of severe housing shortages.

Last week’s All Staff Retreat was a fantastic two days of connection, learning, and reflection with team members from both offices and across our remote workforce. The retreat was filled with genuine learning, love, and respect — creating space to connect with newer teammates while deepening bonds with long-standing colleagues. 💫

Together, we shared organizational updates, strengthened relationships, and explored generational differences with our friend Kiki Hights from Cultural Heights Solutions. With four generations represented across our team, these conversations were especially meaningful as we continue working together to serve more than 200 member organizations nationwide.

We also participated in a grounding sound bath led by Miranda Puente, helping us clear out the outside “noise,” refocus, and reconnect with the heart of our work: the people we serve.

We’re incredibly grateful for opportunities like these that reflect the culture we continue building together — one where every voice matters, every perspective counts, and community remains at the center of all we do. ✨
