No cape required, just a couch, some cuddles, and a little room in your heart. 💙

These little sidekicks are waiting for a hero to swoop in and give them a safe place to stay. Big, small, scruffy, tiny (and even a trio of kittens!) 🦸‍♀️🐶🐱

They each need someone to save the day, and sometimes being a hero is as simple as opening your home. 🏡✨

Just a few more helping hands (and leash holders 😉) needed!

We’re looking for a few more dog walker volunteers to join us at The Honey Bean Coffee this Saturday, 8/29! 🐕☕️

Your job? Hang out with some seriously cute adoptable pups, get a few steps in, soak up all the tail wags, and help them put their best paw forward for potential adopters.

In honor of National Dog Day, we want to take a moment to recognize every dog that has stepped through SNIPSA’s doors since 2006. 🫶

From the office to our own homes, we’ve witnessed you fight the hardest battles. We’ve helped you overcome illnesses. Make friends. Pick out a favorite toy. 🧸 We’ve checked you in countless times at adoption events, hoping that it will be the day you find your forever family. And the moment you do, that becomes our “why.”

Your happiness makes every hard moment in rescue worth it. We all know that animal welfare can be a tough job — but it’s important to remember that every animal set up for a night at the office, every vaccine, every p*e puddle, and especially every spay/neuter makes a REAL difference for the animals in San Antonio. We’re grateful for our community of dog (and cat!) lovers that help us make this all happen for YOU.

SNIPSA adopters: Today is a day to celebrate, and we want to see your dog’s happy ending. ✨ Share a photo of your pup and tag us SNIPSA to be featured on our story.

SNIPSA’s 5k Race for the Rescues is not just about fitness—it’s also about bringing the fits! 👾💫

This year’s theme is “Puro Street Life,” which welcomes in old school cool for a cause we all know and love. Think bucket hats, spray-painted shirts, denim on denim, oversized jerseys, track pants, or whatever else you may have sported to your neighborhood BBQ in the 90s.

The best part? You can match with your dog as you walk or run for animals in need. 🐶🫧 This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, complete with free food, drinks, activities, shopping, photo opps and more.
