Hello Facebook friends and family, Kenny Ivy Executive Director of Picnic in the Park Charities. We are now going on our 5th year anniversary here in San Antonio TX and surrounding Bexar County areas. I'm so excited with the new venues that we have in-store for the clients living with HIV and AIDS. Helping their animals with vet bills, vaccinations, spayed and neutered, chips and pet food and supplies. We'll we could not have gotten this far without all of you in the LGBTQ-PLUS Community of San Antonio TX and surrounding Bexar County areas. The Last 5 years have been rough but with all the support and believing in us. Got us through the pandemic and myself The Texas Tornado 🌪 being in and out of the hospital. But we made it through. Actually 5 years ago, I was given a chance to show the opportunity for a lifetime of Helping HIV and AIDS clients with their animals. God bless me and gave me a mission to fulfill in my life because I almost got to Heaven and trust me it wasn't on a jet plane. My husband from Dallas Texas has been gone and in Heaven now for 6 years since January 2018. I moved to San Antonio Texas September 2018. We'll long story short. I decided to start a nonprofit organization in August 2019 for the love of my clients living with HIV and AIDS for their pets. So agencies and businesses of San Antonio TX thought it was a great idea for San Antonio TX. We'll I saw the light for the first time and it was amazing. The gates of Heaven opened up for me and I could hear laughing, having fun. I opened my eyes and said I'm in Heaven and when I did. To this day forward. A voice came up behind me and I swear it was Tony my husband. Because he said Kenny Ivy it's not yet your time. You have a mission to fulfill on earth and until you do. We are not ready for you yet. But you will know when that time comes . And everytime I tell people this. It makes me cry and get chills. Because it was a blessing to know that 🙏 someone upstairs is looking out for not only being me but all of us. So as Executive Director of Picnic in the Park Charities. We are now working on Grant money to spend for the clients. Also we are looking for several investors in our non-profit organization corporation for a couple of properties that will provide Living Assistance for our clients and people living with HIV/AIDS. So they can be fed, clothing, sleeping quarters, showers, etc. So they can get off the streets and possibly get help with furthering their education, jobs and much more. Also we are waiting for grants to help furnish a warehouse building for a food pantry and community center for our clients and many more people in need of assistance. Whatever the case may be. Last but not least. Set your calendar 📅 date for November 9th 2024. Because we are going to be celebrating our PICNIC IN THE PARK CHARITIES at San Pedro Park at the Cazibo and pool area. We will have vendors, entertainment, food, games and alcohol beverages. So if you want to be a part of our 5th year anniversary celebration extravaganza BIGGER THAN SAN ANTONIO 2024 / 2025. Booth spaces will be for a 10×10 $100.00 and Food Vendors will be for a 10×10 space will be $150.00 and you provide your own insurance, food permits and fire permits. Time will be announced soon.
