The Foundation is committed to providing programs designed in collaboration with city leaders and influential senior advocates. The goal of the programming provided by the Foundation is to change the lives of older adults in the community. The Foundation

At the end of May, The Gonzaba Foundation for Healthier Communities was proud to host another Hygiene Kit Distribution to help older adults in our community receive essential everyday items. 🩵

From shampoo and soap to toothpaste and other personal care products, these items may seem small, but with the rising cost of necessities, they can make a meaningful difference for older adults living on a fixed income.

A huge thank you goes out to the incredible staff from Gonzaba Medical Group who volunteered their time to help assemble and distribute the hygiene kits.

We’re also excited to share that another Hygiene Kit Giveaway is coming soon!

It's Older Americans Month and we’re honoring older adults who changed the world; proving that impact has no age limit.

She reached the North Pole at 75… and made history doing it.

Meet Barbara Hillary.

At 75, she became one of the oldest people—and the first Black woman—to reach the North Pole. After surviving serious health challenges earlier in life, she chose adventure, resilience, and purpose over limits.

Her journey is a powerful reminder that it’s never too late to break barriers, redefine what’s possible, and leave your mark on the world.

At The Gonzaba Foundation, we see this same spirit every day in the older adults we serve, individuals who continue to overcome, achieve, and inspire in ways that reshape our community.

“There were no squares at last week’s Sock Hop hosted by Gonzaba Medical Group!

We were shaking, rattling, and rolling to the oldies and having a real gone time from start to finish! The jukebox vibes were hot, the dance floor was jumpin’, and all the cool cats came ready to cut a rug.

We appreciate everyone who showed up and made the event so swell! From the poodle skirts to the leather jackets, everyone was dressed to the nines and looking like they stepped straight out of the 1950s diner scene. 🍔🎵

The only thing missing was a shiny nickel for the jukebox! 🪙 📻
