Meet Rufus!

Rufus is a 1–2-year-old, 17-lb Chihuahua/Pomeranian/Dachshund mix with silky fur and a heart of gold. This sweet, social little guy loves people, dogs, and even cats, and he enjoys being included in whatever his humans are doing.

Rufus is mellow, friendly, walks nicely on leash, and is happiest cuddling on the couch after an adventure. He’s about 99% house-trained, sleeps beautifully, and is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Rufus does best with another friendly, confident dog in the home because he doesn’t like being completely alone. He’s also a smart, treat-motivated boy who is ready to keep learning!

TAKE ME HOME TUESDAY
This featured pet is in the care of our partner rescue Dogs Deserve Better . Please reach out to them for more info. If you don't have room for a pet right now, but would like to help more animals like Aurora, please visit puppyfoodbank.org and become a donor!

🐾 Meet Aurora! 🐾

Aurora is a sweet, shy girl looking for a very special forever home. After spending the beginning of her life in a large-scale hoarding situation with little positive human interaction, she’s learning that people—and love—can be trusted. ❤️

Aurora may never be a traditional lap dog, but she has so much love to give in her own way. She absolutely LOVES other dogs, enjoys playing, and is happiest with canine friends by her side. She’s also good with cats, housetrained, respectful indoors, food motivated, and has learned to walk on a leash!

Aurora needs a patient, understanding family, a quieter home, and a securely fenced yard. Her progress may come in small moments, but watching her confidence grow is incredibly rewarding.

After a year in foster care, Aurora is ready for a forever family willing to meet her where she is and let her blossom at her own pace. Could you be her person? 🐶💕
