Government Girls Club

Government Girls Club Promotes charitable projects, provides educational assistance, and provides a spirit of fellowship. We meet the third Saturday of each month at 11:00 a.m.

We host two major events; our Annual Benefit for Cancer Research in April and a Christmas Luncheon in December where we celebrate our accomplishments through the year, award scholarships, and just have a good time with family and friends who have supported us through the years. If you are any employed or retired civil servant, postal, city, county, military, and state employee and reside in Texas,

except during deployment you are eligible for this membership. at a predesignated location except for the months of July, August, and December. If you are interested in being a member. Message us or contact a current GGC member.

At today’s monthly meeting, we were excited to present a $3,345.00 check to the American Cancer Society in support of cancer research. We are grateful to our family and friends for their continued support of the Annual Cancer Research Benefit Tea, which made this donation possible. Pictured presenting the check is GGC 1st VP Estella Hamilton, with Mari Morua-Gonzales accepting it on behalf of the American Cancer Society. Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you next year.

The Government Girls Club
Annual American Cancer Research Benefit Tea took place at the Second Baptist Fellowship Hall on April 12, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
We were privileged to have
Mrs. Veretta Anderson, RN, as our distinguished guest speaker.
A tribute was paid to our centenarian member, Mrs. Lillian Hunter.
Fashions were showcased by N-V-U Fashions & Boutique, Patricia Moore (enviousfashionsboutique.com).
We extend our gratitude to all attendees and donors for their generosity. Special thanks to our President Michelle Smith and her Cabinet and our dedicated Government Girls Club members for their unwavering support in the fight against cancer. May God continue to bless the Government Girls Club as they shine a light in our community and for this noble cause. Thank each of you who made this a huge success!
