Friday May 8th, Zapatos held our last shoe distribution for school year 2025-2026. The distribution was at Leon Valley elementary school and we were inside the gym.
Zapatos and all volunteers that joined us along with the school staff had as much fun as the students that received a new pair of shoes and socks. A true celebration atmosphere with music, dancing and sounds of joy was shared by all.
We even held our own mini pep rally for our San Antonio Spurs!!
A huge thank you to Coach Trevino for helping Zapatos prepare for this distribution. Zapatos would also like to thank everyone that help us this school year and continue to help us.

Zapatos Director Sandy Gutierrez joined other organizations at the Dia del Nino. Sandy set up an art area. Children came by and created all while having tons of fun.
Sandy was also joined by our Zapatos mascots "Los Zapatos". The mascots were a huge hit with everyone.

Tuesday, April 28th team Zapatos was honored to receive the NEISD Superintendent Award. We are so grateful to Ms. Cansino from East Terrell Hills Elementary for nominating Zapatos.
