For some of our most vulnerable neighbors, a nonprofit can be the difference between having a safe place to live, or having nowhere to go.
Between a caregiver having support, or a family reaching a breaking point.
Between isolation and having a community that says, “You belong here.” ❤️
That is why nonprofits matter.
Our home in San Antonio, we are BLESSED with an incredible community of organizations serving our shared populations of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families: The Arc of San Antonio, Brighton Center, Respite Care of San Antonio, Morgan’s, SA Life Academy, Any Baby Can, Reaching Maximum Independence, Down Syndrome Association of South Texas, Spurs Give, Special Olympics Texas, Special Reach, Eva’s Heroes, United Way, and SO MANY OTHERS.
Together, we provide housing. Respite. Employment. Education. Advocacy. Resources.
Most importantly, we create BELONGING.
None of us can do this work alone. It takes nonprofits, families, caregivers, volunteers, donors, businesses and community partners showing up for one another and saying: “We’ve got you.”
So before we nearly let get away from us 😅 (because we're all human and wear multiple hats!), we want to say how grateful we are to be part of this community and this work.
Because every person deserves the opportunity to live a life of dignity, purpose, independence, connection and belonging.
