The San Antonio Nursing Consortium (SANC) invites nurses, healthcare professionals, educators, researchers, and students to submit poster abstracts for the 2026 Annual Patient Safety Conference.

This year’s theme, “The Value of Nursing: Driving Patient Safety Through Collaborative Care,” highlights the vital role of nurses and interprofessional teams in advancing safe, high-quality patient care.

I am honored to announce that I have been slated to run for the American Nurses Association (ANA) Board of Directors!

With over 40 years in practice, management, and executive leadership, I have returned to academia (BSN, MSN, DNP, and CRNA programs) as adjunct faculty to continue to contribute to the nursing profession.

I offer my Wealth of experience, Wisdom, Willingness, and Wellbeing to Work for and with nurses!

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a solemn reminder of the courage, selflessness, and dedication of our fallen heroes who fought to protect the freedoms we enjoy today.

As we spend time with family and loved ones, may we pause to reflect with gratitude and respect for those who gave everything for our nation. Their legacy of honor and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
